About Souriau- Sunbank

Souriau-Sunbank is a French company that specializes in the manufacturing of electrical interconnect solutions that serve aerospace, defense, industrial, transport, and energy industries. The company was first founded in 1917 when Paul-Adolphe Souriau formed a car ignition coil repair company in Boulogne-Billancourt, France. By 1933, the company supplied products for the entire line of the vehicle manufacturer Citroën, establishing their popularity and reliability. In 1935, Souriau also entered the aerospace market with their connector products.

In 1958, the company Sunbank was established, and their operations consisted of the manufacturing of connector accessories and conduits that served aerospace applications. Leading into the 2000’s, Souriau was focusing on great international expansion, establishing their presence in the United States and Japan. During this time, they also found more success with customers, implementing their products on French nuclear submarines, Boeing aircraft, and more.

The 1990’s proved to be a decade of continued growth for Souriau as they continued their expansion domestically and internationally, as well as undertook various contracts. During this time, the company also integrated with Esterline, allowing for their acquisition and merger with Sunbank. Currently, the company has rebranded themselves as Souriau-Sunbank, and they continue to expand upon their operational capabilities through their acquisitions and growth.
